Producer (Metro Detroit)

Description

Flow Video is seeking a Producer to work with and maintain client projects from beginning to end. This person will support our internal and external teams and create structure out of many moving parts while displaying confidence and the ability to cope under pressure. This role requires strong project planning and management skills, along with the ability to communicate effectively and efficiently. 

The Producer will take responsibility for providing the necessary resources, logistics, and infrastructure so that everyone involved in the project, creative process, and production can create a successful end product for our clients. 

The Producer will ensure clients are satisfied, scripts are perfected, budgets are created and maintained, contracts are signed, personnel is hired and held accountable for their work, and production schedules are correct and concise.

This is a multifaceted role combining superb organizational and interpersonal skills. An ideal candidate understands the needs of the production and is eager to be a part of every element of the process, from planning, coordination, and management of scripting, casting, directing, and editing as well as finances.

  • Excellent communication and strong presentation skills.
  • Able to communicate effectively and tactfully with clients, vendors and contractors.
  • Able to organize and schedule work effectively, handle multiple tasks and work well under time constraints.
  • Must be team oriented, diplomatic, self-starter.
  • The ability to adapt when projects suddenly change
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite, GSuite, and general project management.
  • Flexibility with schedule and ability to work long hours depending on production schedule.

Responsibilities

Bonus Qualifications

  • Report to the Lead Producer to ensure all assigned projects and internal organizational processes are kept and maintained. 
  • Work with Client and Creative teams on all project needs and development, including building project contracts and contractor agreements.
  • Interfaces directly and regularly collaborates with Flow Video clients, production crews, and other stakeholders via phone, email, phone, and virtua/in-personl meetings.
  • Ability to set expectations and maintain project processes
  • Creates, manages, and tracks applicable budgets and project timelines to ensure deliverables are met and the team delivers the final product on or under budget.
  • Lead and manage production across the entire project arc from pre-production through final project delivery. Overseeing pre-production, production, and post-production to completion
  • Coordinate scheduling of meetings for project-involved parties
  • Builds and coordinates production schedules and details
  • Oversee production crews and ensure they're up-to-speed on event plans
  • Attend in-person rehearsals, productions, and day-of event performances to ensure events run smoothly
  • Manages all contract and freelance production staff and negotiates pricing with production partners to ensure all projects are within budget. 
  • Create contracts for all contractor/vendor-provided services to Flow Video.
  • Strategizing with Flow Video team to streamline and improve internal processes
  • Debrief projects with internal/external teams and clients to give/receive constructive and critical feedback

Compensation &  Benefits

  • All team members begin with 3 weeks (15 days) paid time off per year. These days off may accrue from year to year, with a maximum year-to-year carryover of 5 days. Team members can earn additional paid time off with seniority.
  • Additionally, Flow Video offers 2 weeks (10 days) paid family leave for all team members to care for an immediate family newborn (adopted or delivered) or a serious medical need of a spouse, domestic partner, parent, or child.

  • $50,000 - $55,000 annual starting salary

PTO Policy

Flow Video is a remote-first company based in Royal Oak, MI. In-person work is required for this role when a production is active, but day-to-day work may be performed either remotely or in our office. Flow takes precautions against COVID-19 seriously. Full vaccination against COVID-19 is a requirement for this position, and masking is required on all productions.
