Flow Video is seeking a creative and experienced video editor to join our team. To thrive in this role, you will need to excel in crafting emotionally compelling stories that immediately hook and engage viewers until the last frame. This position will assist our head of production and video producer in developing and creating visual stories for our clients. The Junior Video Editor will report to our Video Editor.

This is a full-time remote-first position based near our Royal Oak, Michigan location. The role is primarily remote-work with some in-person filming and team/client meetings.

• 2+ years experience in video, media, communications, journalism or a related field
• 2+ years of video editing experience
• Proficiency in Adobe Premiere
• Working knowledge of Adobe After Effects
• Strong production, editorial, and storytelling skills
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
• Confidence to work independently and within a team in a fast-paced environment
• Must be able to provide daily transportation for oneself to one of our office
• Must be available to work minimum of 40 hours per week

• Cut down interviews (total run times ranging from 20 minutes to 4+ hours) to form compelling and engaging stories
• Edit visual assets (footage, photos, audio, graphics, etc.) into visually engaging supporting elements
• Find and edit music that properly guides a compelling story
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously with tight deadlines
• Assist on video shoots and in areas of production (ie. audio, filming, lighting) when necessary
• Outwardly promote the company as a Flow Video ambassador
• Proficiency in Google Drive and either Microsoft Office Suite or Mac (Pages, Keynote, Numbers)
• Fill in where & when necessary to accomplish stated objectives

• Expertise in filming, lighting, audio, design or scriptwriting
• Mastery in Adobe After Effects and/or Photoshop
• Experience in an editing house or video production company
• Proficiency with video hardware
• Expertise in narrative and high-end storytelling
• Up-to-date with editing and video trends

• $45,000 – $55,000 annually starting salary
