Meet Sheryl Wolberg, Flow Video Sales Director

It all starts with an idea. That’s our mantra here at Flow Video – it’s how we discover the stories behind the brands and organizations we bring to life on camera. Sheryl is the detective, the sleuth behind that discovery process. Cracking the case. Solving the story. Our CEO, Justin Wedes, sat down with Sheryl to learn more about what makes her tick, and why she loves growing with the Flow.

Justin: Sheryl, tell us a little about yourself!

Sheryl: I'm a professional marketing strategist with a passion for connecting people to brands in meaningful ways. I love learning and evolving in this fast-paced industry, always seeking new ways to create impactful marketing solutions. On a personal note, I’m a mom of three amazing kids and two energetic yellow labs—and my kids will tell you, the dogs definitely come first!

Justin: What got you started in sales and marketing?

Sheryl: My dad owned an advertising agency, so from an early age, I was glued to the TV or radio, eagerly waiting to hear his commercials! That early exposure sparked my curiosity. After college, I started to work at Young & Rubicam, working on the Lincoln Mercury account in media, and my love for the business, the people, and the creative process just kept growing. I quickly learned how powerful messaging can be in shaping consumer behavior, and that blend of creativity and strategy was what hooked me

Justin: What makes a great brand or product to you?

Sheryl: A great brand is built on trust and emotional connection. As Jeff Bezos said, "Your brand is what other people say about you when you're not in the room." It’s all about how a brand is perceived. When it consistently aligns its values with its actions and delivers real value, that’s when it truly stands out and earns loyalty.

"It's all about how a brand is perceived."

Justin: What’s the craziest misalignment or pain point you’ve seen working with brands in your career?

Sheryl: One of the craziest misalignments I’ve encountered was in recruitment marketing. A company was convinced that people were drawn to work for them because of their remote and hybrid work options. But when we dove into the data, it turned out that employees actually stayed for the training and learning opportunities. We had hard numbers to prove it, while the company had been relying on anecdotal information. It was a great reminder of how important it is to back up assumptions with solid data!

Justin: Why did you want to join #TeamFlow?

Sheryl: I wanted to join #TeamFlow because of the impact I could make with a team that embraces creativity and doesn’t take itself too seriously. The scope of work and the range of clients are so exciting, allowing for constant growth and fresh challenges. I love the energy Flow brings to every project and the way the team thrives on pushing boundaries while keeping things fun.

"I love the energy Flow brings to every project."

Justin: Tell us about your Top 5 Flow videos...

Sheryl: These videos showcase Flow Video's wide range of capabilities, from animation to live action, brand anthems to heartfelt storytelling. While each project is unique—some fun, others heartwarming—they all share one thing in common: they tell a compelling story. Every video shows the power of visual storytelling, and Flow Video brought creativity and expertise to capture moments that connected with me.

Justin: What do you like to do in your spare time?

Sheryl: In my spare time, you’ll find me practicing yoga, biking, doing pilates, or hiking—it’s all about staying active! I love walking my two yellow labs and, when I’m not outside, I’m usually flipping through old pictures of my kids or planning trips to visit them.
